Arthritis, what an ugly word! It's my continuing battle. In August of 2015, a talented surgeon replaced my left hip. In a matter of a few weeks I went from barely able to walk to walking normally. I remember walking my first mile. Joy but Fatigue. Yikes, it was only a mile, if this was just weeks ago, this would have been impossible. Well it's time to get in shape again. After years of inactivity and being 60, I knew I needed to approach my fitness goals differently. Not just exercise but diet and supplements.
I learned about zone training. I learned about gentle discipline over diet. I found my backpack and camera. I found familiar trail heads. This seems harder than I remember, a 3 mile hike seemed like my maximum. Wow, I don't remember it taking a day to recover! My wife reminded me it's been over 5 years since I laced up my boots and put on my pack. In the meantime, I watched the VitaPulse video. We've all heard of antioxidants but I wanted to know more-it's not just the heart but the immune system and reduces inflammation too. Maybe it can help with arthritis too.
Last week I did a six mile hike: 3 miles uphill (OK a mountain) to a pass just below Mount Rosedale at the southern Boundry of the Mount Evans Wilderness Area. I thought about going for the summit but decided to wait for my wife to join me because it's been her journey too. I wanted my life back and sometimes you get what you want.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
