The Quip is a great little electric device to add to the hygiene routine. It has an automatic 2-minute shutoff, 30-second buzzer intervals to know when to change mouth sections, and always has enough charge to work due to an auto 3-month shipment program.
The design of the Quip and its shipment program is great and makes it easy to forget about when you need to replace brush heads and the battery as it will magically arrive every 3 months for a reasonable amount of money. It even comes in a small case that can stick to most surfaces for easy placement, and the case itself can cover the toothbrush for traveling (one of the best parts for me and my wife).
Those are all the good things.
What I don't personally like is the lack of power of the brush sometimes. I came from the more traditional Sonicare electric toothbrush, which was very powerful. Quip states that extra power is actually not good for your teeth or gums. My teeth still feel clean with the Quip, but I liked the extra power. The main drawback of Sonicares is needing to constantly have it on a charging station, which is one of the main reasons my wife was able to persuade me away from it.
Overall, I'm content with the decision to switch to the Quip. It is WAY better than a regular old toothbrush.
