It's played a key role in improving my mental health. I am very grateful for my therapist, and the service. I appreciated having different ways of communication which made the service more accessible.
I would like more flexibility in the price and level of service offered or the ability to accumulate a session to have at another time.
I would like there to be different levels of access to the services at different prices. I understand it is difficult balancing understanding the worth of your service with providing something that is accessible. I think this is why having layers of membership would be beneficial. You could just have journal suggestions and reminders, could have a "positive support" role where your therapist would respond to a message once a week, or a live session twice monthly or once monthly. I feel like I'm struggling to still justify it because I've been on SSP and worrying financially but feeling like I still would like some support from them, but for it to be faded out and then increased again through harder times.
I've missed booking two weekly sessions since I've been and I won't have access to those again. If there can't be levels of membership, then there could be a middle ground of you can accumulate and use them at a different time. I appreciate that both of these solutions have more issues around planning diaries and staffing levels.
As I'm brainstorming, you could have limits on rebooking, so you can rebook but it's more restricted timing, based on availability and priority given to everyone having one session a week or offer a different therapist for a one-off session with a specific incident/topic in mind. The key is for the service to be more flexible.
Pros and Cons:
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
