Coventry Direct contacted me in mid-January 2022 for selling my life insurance policy that I have had since 2010. On January 27th, 2022, we started the inundating and invasive process of gathering all sorts of data including signed medical records by my Doctor as well as a statement from my life insurance company. This process went on for seven weeks and it took quite a bit time, detailed energy, and patience.
Everyone in this process knew when my 65th birthday is and yes, I do turn 65 this year in 2022. On March 21st, at 16:13 hours, I was told that I DON'T qualify to sell my life insurance policy because of three reasons:
1) I am considered a healthy being, an MBC survivor.
2) I don't turn 65 until December of 2022.
3) It would cost Coventry Direct $4,100 to complete this process.
As it would turn out, everyone at Coventry Direct that I worked with on this since January 2022 knew these three things, yet everyone continued to prolong what would be an extremely laborious process with a negative, unfortunate result. Everyone also knew that I was looking to reduce my debt with the life insurance sales proceeds.
This entire process was not only unpolished, but it was also void of detailed attention with the end result in simply being cruel. And, may I add, cruel to a senior citizen on a very fixed, limited income during a very expensive time in our culture.
Thank you for allowing my opinion.
