I honestly believe BetterHelp has saved my life. That's a dramatic statement but I say it because the quality of my life has improved dramatically in the two months I've subscribed, and I have gained insights that I don't believe I would have, had I not been using the platform.
For years I have struggled with anxiety, depression, poor/disordered eating, and recently went through various traumatic events. I have tried many therapy services in the last 6 years and non have helped. BetterHelp is the first therapy approach that has resonated with me. My therapist and I used EMDR as well as just talking, and she give me worksheets to work on in my off time. I watched 40+ groupinars on various psychology topics (I learn well from this type of setup), and I took many notes. BetterHelp has promoted a healing I didn't know was possible.
I am taking time off of BetterHelp so that I can implement all I've learned into my daily life more. I look forward to joining again in the future. I didn't ever see myself loving therapy like this!
The negatives:
I don't like not being able to see a monthly schedule of the groupinars. I'd like to know what will be covered in January, for example. I may have subscribed for another month if topics were new to me and interesting.
It is only worth the price if you have enough time to really get your money's worth. If you only talk to your therapist once a week, I feel the subscription is too expensive. The price is otherwise fine if you can maximize what you get from the subscription.
I think they could benefit from better social media advertising/management. They could reach a broader audience if they were more specific about their uniqueness to therapy.
Pros and Cons:
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
