    Overall Experience:

Dr. Daniel has been a tower of strength for me. It’s no criticism for Dr. Daniel but it does take time to connect with a therapist online sometimes but that simply because it can lack that physical contact which is important for some people and was for me, but pushing through it has been so worth it. I only say this because at first I didn’t utilize Dr. Daniel and I didn’t write journal entries as much as I did at one point and doing so meant I connected with Dr. Daniel and started to have a personal relationship with a therapist that I couldn’t have gotten in any other way. I said this is no criticism of Dr. Daniel because he was always there for me from the beginning and I wish I’d utilized him a little bit more, like I said before, but pushing for my own personal barrier about a physical therapist meant I have a great resource for my mental well-being, and I’m not just focused on getting through the day but I am actually starting to work on optimal mental health, which means that I’m focusing my strengths at not just being just okay but being happy with my mental health issues, which are complicated.

I’m comfortable with being quoted as having diagnosed chronic schizophrenia, diagnosed ADHD, possible disassociative identity disorder (otherwise known as multiple personality disorder), diagnosed PTSD, as well as diagnosed depression/anxiety and BPD. This would scare off many psychiatrists or psychologists because I am hard work. I go quiet for a long period of time and as with a lot of these disorders I have suffered with addiction problems which exacerbate the best of conditions and certainly exacerbate everything I have. I could not be more grateful or thankful.

I’ve missed appointments, which has wasted his time, and at times I thought he would discharge me because I felt unworthy and everybody else has kind of told me that I am far too hard work to be worthy, in a matter of speaking. Dr. Daniel actually does a very good job of building up my confidence and self-worth. I can’t go back in time and make right the mistakes I’ve made but at least going forward I have a psychiatrist and psychologist I can work with and bounce my sometimes very scary thoughts off, and to know that I will get a timely response. One time I was actually in a very dangerous situation where my ex threw me out in the middle of the night and had people come over to intimidate me...unbelievably, Dr. Daniel called me within moments of it happening and he really helped me through a sticky situation. What can I say? Thank you Dr. Daniel.

    Pros and Cons:

    • I qualified for discount/financial aid as I am unemployed and disabled
    • The amount of contact I have with my therapist via voice notes in particular
    • Journal suggestion prompts, e.g. “If my body could speak it would say” - great if you need inspiration
    • Amount of information I give my therapist and he remembers and keeps up with it, it feels great to be valued and remembered
    • Sometimes the video calls would have problems buffering because of my internet connection, we solved it by doing voice calls

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
