After getting laid off, I realized I would have time to work on things I had been putting off. But I struggled to find a traditional therapist that I could connect to. I felt that the process was too emotionally laborious. I also wanted to make sure I could afford the help I needed. After some research into the payment and matching systems, I decided to give BetterHelp a try.
Matching with a counselor was quick, and even though I did not feel the need to seek a new counselor, I knew it was easy.
The layout of the desktop website is easy to navigate, the design is very simple and functional. The services are also a huge resource. While I can message my counselor any time through chat, I can also schedule a live chat or video sessions during convenient times throughout the week. The live webinars from counselors who have particular interests and aptitude in a variety of subjects were also wonderful to participate in, especially the aspect of live anonymous chats to see other client's questions and how they experience the subject.
The mobile site is a bit more cramped to navigate but is perfectly functional.
Being able to have all my resources organized into a website has really helped me get a handle on my emotional and mental work.
My counselor has been a huge resource for me, and she has been very insightful about my struggles and needs.
Pros and Cons:
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
