    BetterHelp

Easier than you'd think to try therapy.

    • Length of Use: 1–2 years
    Overall Experience:

I've been in therapy previously, one on one. I'd get frustrated being kept waiting when they run late week after week. I would hold back because I didn't want to go home to my kids after crying and being upset. I stepped away from therapy for a long time and when I felt I needed it, I had to try online therapy.

I started with Talkspace they were more expensive and I wasn't happy. I signed up for BetterHelp and got established. Talkspace offered a good deal to stick around so I used both services concurrently. Finally, I was able to get my therapist to check out BetterHelp and she joined.

My therapist Ashley Travers has been wonderful, I like being able to join webinars, or schedule my own video session with Ashley.

Therapists are hard to find with Covid but they're there when you need them at BetterHelp.

    Pros and Cons:

    • Interact with my therapist 5 days a week, better than trying to save it all up and then try ti figure out what's important enough to bring up.
    • I can write anytime, I know my therapist checks in twice a day, I look forward to hearing from her, he's been my lifeline.
    • The prices make this kind of service do-able.
    • I feel like I have a lifeline now, there's someone that cares.
    • There are times I've been in a crisis and while I could write out my thoughts it didn't help that no one was accessible.
    • Seminars on more specifics, bipolar or depression, specifics on coping with anxiety attacks.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
