I've finally been matched with an awesome counselor on BetterHelp, and I definitely feel like I'm getting my money's worth. That was not always the case on BetterHelp, though. I tried the service a few times in a few different states, and have been through probably 5 or 6 therapists in that time. Some of them have very limited schedules, and some of them you simply aren't going to click with. I thought maybe virtual therapy wasn't for me, but now after finding a good therapist who I really connect with, I'm loving it. One thing to keep in mind is that not all counselors are going to make themselves available to you 24/7 like the ads suggest - they have lives too, and most that I've met only respond to a certain number of messages during certain work hours. That's not a deal-breaker for me, as the weekly sessions and a few messages in between meet my needs. But it's just something to keep in mind when considering the service. On the other hand, they do offer financial aid (discounts) for those of us with a limited income, which is essential for me, and a huge selling point.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
