We have an 11-year-old golden retriever who had an injury to her ACL almost 3 years ago. She has recovered fairly well without surgical intervention. She has moments that she can run in the yard. But she is pretty much a couch puppy now. She has difficulty going from a lying position to a standing one. She doesn't stand and wait for her food as she used to, she lies down while it's being prepared and then struggles a little bit to get up. She is currently taking an anti-inflammatory prescription medication. This does seem to help her. I was hoping that the ultimate nutrition powder would make a significant difference in her health and we could decrease or stop the anti-inflammatory. Her blood work needs to be monitored to be sure the medication isn't damaging her kidneys, liver, etc. Therefore this isn't really what I would like to give her. It seems the ultimate nutrition might be helping her some. She is getting a scoop in the morning and a scoop in the evening. She hasn't had any adverse reactions to it. Her bm's are looking good (she's had issues in the past), she seems a bit more lively. I think her breath is a little better. We are really hoping she continues to better overall health. We, of course, love her and want her to be with us as long as possible!
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
