Hard for me to say for sure, because my 11-month-old puppy didn't have any real problems to speak of, other than the annoying red-eye stain. I did hope the supplement would help that, but so far it has not, as has not anything else I've tried. I am looking more for the long-term, life "extending" benefits more than anything else right away. He definitely likes the taste - almost always finishing the supplement, even if he doesn't finish all his dinner!
