Tommie Copper, turtle slow shipping, a cheap rip off product.

By John Conners , Louisville, KY

Tommie Copper is a total rip off. First, It will take you forever to get your product as their shipping is as slow as a turtle backing up. It's amazing how slow they are. They use FedEx SmartPost which ships to a FedEX location then transfers it to the USPS. This adds 3 or 4 days to your order. Although Tommie Copper saves money on the shipping.

As far as the actual product, I think it's cheap junk made in far the far east and it's a rip off. It does not do what it claims and they should be charged with false advertising. Don't waste your time or money.

Knee Sleeve

By Joe , Los Angeles, CA

I wore this for the first time today and I have to tell you, this thing is the best. I slipped down my stairs about 2 weeks ago and my knee swelled up. I used different braces that restricted my full knee movement and when I took the braces off I could hardly put pressure on my right leg. I put the sleeve on this morning and began to walk regular. So I thought to myself that the pain will kick in after I leave the gym. Four hours later, no pain and I can walk up my stairs normally.

No relief yet

By Jim ,

No better than an Ace bandage. I tried two of the Tommie Copper braces and experienced no relief. This sort of feels like the old snake oil salesmen of the past years.

It worked!

By Betty , Philadelphia, PA

I wore my Tommie Copper recovery and compression shirt for the first time last night to sleep in. I have chronic compression fracture (T-6 and T-7) pain, along with lumbar and bursitis in my hips from Sjogren's and Lupus. It's long enough (since I'm short) to cover hips. I woke up this morning and was actually able to move about without pain. I'm thinking, "is all this is my head?" or "does this really work?!" All I know is that it worked for me and I will continue wearing it to exercise and sleep in, whether or not it was just in my head.

My whole order was too small.

By Mary Graves , Medford, OR

I ordered four of the knee sleeves and two elbow sleeves. I think you folks are all wrong about returning merchandise that has been opened. How do we know if it fits without trying it on? Two packs of knee sleeves and an elbow sleeve hasn't been opened. I don't have bugs. I guess I spent all that money for nothing. I'm on a fixed income and I can't afford to just throw money out like that.

Tommie Copper Wrist & hand glove

By Gary Hix , Kenosha, WI

I have been using my Tommie Copper gloves and wrist bands for the last 10 months. I love golfing, fishing and various types of racket type sports.

I have very bad arthritis in my wrist and thumb on right dominate hand. I wear the glove on my hand when I'm doing athletic things. I know it's not going to cure my arthritis but so far it has helped reduce the level of discomfort after my athletic endeavors.

Controlling pain that can not be eliminated is what I was seeking and Tommie Copper has helped.

Couldn't believe it worked

By Kelli , Emerald Isle, NC

My sister in law worked as a telephone company installer, climbing up poles and under buildings and homes, so she knows some pain. She tried one, and when I was visiting, suggested I "try" hers to see if it worked, since I am BROKE and spend every dime I have on medical care for me and my disabled child.

I was injured in a car accident in 2002 (driver was high) and am now a disabled mom of a disabled 15 year old. I have permanent spinal cord damage, nerve damage is the WORST of all. 24/7 pain, It's worse at night. Doctors call it "night time pain syndrome", your stop doing everything and you try to sleep - your body has NOTHING to think about but the pain you are in. NO SLEEP

The nerve damage is set off by muscle spasms, I take 6 Vicodins, 3 different muscle relaxers, anti-anxiety meds, anti-depressants (who in my condition wouldn't need them?!), and use Lidoderm patches - every day. I get to pay for all that, and kill my liver at the same time, just so I don't blow my brains out from pain. It's something like having a Charley horse 24 hours a day since August 31, 2002.

NOW, I won't tell you the knee brace has "cured" the problem, but what I WILL tell you, honestly, that it has helped about 20%. To anyone NOT having experienced the sheer mind-numbing amount of pain patients like me suffer, that might not seem like much. To me, it makes life worth attempting again, trying to get out of bed worth most days again.

The compression on the sciatica nerve running along the outer side of my leg has helped DECREASE the electrical shock, the "walking on cut glass", the barbed wire, the being shot in the foot, the dog bite, the boiling water, etc.. sensations that my frayed and damaged sciatica nerve kept sending to my brain. There is nothing wrong with my foot or leg, but my sciatica insists on telling my brain there is.

I ALSO have a $75,000 spinal cord stimulator/implant to help with the pain of the injury, so I am NOT talking some little back ache here. I am talking can't walk some days, close to a wheel chair. And, oh joy, the internal battery in my stimulator is dying and will need replacing within the next few months, another $35,000. My portion? A measly $3,000.

I suggest you go online to Hamrick's. It is a discount store in the south. They sell for between $9.98 and $12.98 (don't know why there is a difference) The reason I know? Lost mine that I bought for $12.98. CRIED. My sweet, supportive husband of 29 years drove a 7 hour round trip to pick me up another one, it was $9.98. Less a 10% coupon in the local paper, and a 15% discount card he signed up for (FREE) and he arrived on Senior Day with his Senior Mom, so he got ANOTHER 10% off. LOADS less than the TV price.

Took the opportunity to visit his mother who lives close by, so it does pay to go see the old folks!

I was NOT solicited by, NOR PAID for this review. BUT, if they'd like to contact me, well now, I would be more than happy to accommodate them!

Blessings world, from a small island off the coast of NC where we moved so I could recover my health, sanity, joy and peace.

With God's grace and love, the healing of His Son and with the love and support of my husband and daughter I am on that path. May you be, also!

Kelli

Tommie Copper shirt and undershorts

By Eric Allen ,

I have cancer in my hips and shoulders and just out of curiosity, I decided to try the Tommie Copper products just to see if they really worked. The cancer in my hips has really limited my walking, but after wearing the undershorts, I started feeling relief from the pain in about a half hour. The pain in my right shoulder from the cancer made it difficult to do much of anything, but after wearing the shirt, I noticed major relief again within about a half hour as well.

I am a true believer in the Tommie Copper products now. I now need to get more so that I can wear them all the time. Thank you Tommie Copper! It's nice not to hurt all the time.

Copper socks for peripheral neuropathy and rest leg syndrome.

By Lou , Central Oregon

I wear these socks to bed at night and for the first time in a long time, I am able to sleep at night. I sleep with them on all night. The pain and constant leg movement is gone. I've tried everything and this is the first thing that has worked. Hope it keeps working!

Back Pain from fractured vertebrae

By Brenda Alaimo , Blue Ridge, GA

I am very pleased with the t-shirt because it warms my back and supports it. I am able to do my daily routine with a lot less pain. I don't take pain medication so the shirt has helped me a lot. I am ordering two more.

Supported Physical Therapy

By Brenda Omps , WV

Due to fibromyalgia I have horrible knots in the muscles of my neck and back. After 17 physical therapy sessions and little progress, my husband bought me a Tommie Copper T-shirt. After wearing it 3 days in a row (washed each evening and let air dry-easy care) I noticed a significant difference in my shoulder pain and the muscle swelling in my shoulders had decreased. I am continuing physical therapy but will definitely include Tommie Copper products as an added support!
