Loan start with Bailey Kolhagen (our contact) was great. He was very personable and responsive to questions and concerns. However, we felt that the use of the dashboard as a main line of loan status communication left a lot to be desired. We were prompt with uploading of documents only to have things sit for days in between updates. Towards the end of the month-long process it felt as though we were stalled (this was post-appraisal). Kept getting a message saying the appraisal was done, but no movement towards closing until we reached out and pushed Rocket Mortgage to schedule it.
Also, we had a deed in trust and Rocket Mortgage was aware of that, but did not tell us that Amrock could assist us with temporarily removing it from trust as a part of the closing process. Basically, the handoff between RM and Amrock was a little unclear.
Closing was great. Agent was prompt and courteous. Received wired funds when expected.
Length of Use: Less than 3 months
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Able to get the loan product we needed and lock a great rate.
Closing appointment was efficient and courteous, agent was really nice and on time.
Communication stalled around 3rd week, we had to reach out.
The handshake between Rocket Mortgage and Amrock seemed disorganized (see comment above re: deed in trust).
Too much reliance on dashboard as means of communication, often times the chat wasn't available during hours posted.
Got stuck in a weird loop of being re-notified that our appraisal was ready for like a week, not sure if this was a bug in the dashboard?
