Best program, evah!

I began Noom in April of 2017. I lost 12 lbs, with a goal of a 4 lbs loss. Noom set a goal lower than I, and I surpassed it, and have maintained!

Noom changes mindsets, and coaches along the way. Then, Noom supports every aspect of changes that involve eating and the behaviors attached. Thanks, Noom!

Not a diet program

I am currently on Week 6, and I can say that this program has done more for my relationship with food and exercise than a diet, nutritionist or personal trainer have ever done. It is the psychology behind our actions, and not saying they will change you overnight, but help you overcome the inevitable highs and lows, mentally, environmentally, physically, etc. They have been almost mind-reading situations and helping change my mentality, habits, etc. to make healthier decisions. It is not all or nothing, and it does a great job of not being like every other program out there that have you yo-yo between weight loss/gain. The online group is great because it is a really positive environment to celebrate the wins, and quickly bounce back from the lows (because you will always have lows!). You move at a manageable pace, it is not 0 to 10 overnight, which is never sustainable. You really work on the WHY you do what you do, and HOW to work with your personal situation to make better decisions that will, in time, become your new normal. A healthier normal.

I feel healthier doing this

Let me say that I have not lost weight in the five weeks I’ve used this app, but I am definitely making better choices, and I’ve lost belly bloat because of it. The science-based information delivered in easily absorbed chunks helps me actually learn things about how the body and mind work when it comes to eating and weight loss. I have much more energy without all the processed crap on my plate. Chances are good I’ll reach my health goals with Noom.

Working great

I have been working with Noom for four weeks now. I have been losing quite steadily. I love the integrated training and the encouragement of the other users. Logging my food makes me aware of what I am eating.

Noom got me to eat my veggies.

Not really sure how all this works. I read the daily posts. Log my food and the weight comes off. I am finding new ways to enjoy food I'd never consider before. It really helps me knowing no food is off limits. It's not so tempting with this diet. Fad diets always failed me, but I don't feel like I'm dieting with their approach.

Psychology based diet

I haven’t lost much weight with Zoom, but the learning tools are great. Understanding the psychology of my eating habits has caused me to really evaluate what I eat and why I eat it. It’s caused me to do a lot of internal reflection as well, so I feel like I’m going through therapy as well. I know what I need to do for weight loss, but the journey for me isn’t about a number on a scale. It’s about overall health and wellness in body, mind, and spirit. Noom is truly a unique health aide!

Helpful in some respects

The food logging is a good tool, but for those from Australia, there’s not a whole lot. You have to do a lot of manual logging. Goal specialist is advertised as your personal coach, but it’s a very scripted conversation, and waiting three days for a response. The group is a good tool, and some of the articles are helpful.

My secret BFF

My secret, not-so-secret BFF, when it comes to strategizing around my beloved. Honestly, my biggest win isn't pounds lost, but the fact my hubby is slowly adopting my lifestyle changes.

My Goal Specialist, Nicole, is an ear, a shoulder, and my Senior Strategist. My journey is slow, but full of awareness, honesty, and determination.

Fun, educational and very effective!

Getting into good habits every day such as weighing myself daily, writing all the foods I eat really helped me with totally up my calories for the day and portion sizes. It was fun to check in daily and read such powerful and helpful tips and info. My coach was great; supportive and insightful. The group was helpful too because everyone was sharing their thoughts too. You're definitely not doing this alone.

Great program.

I've done a lot of programs over the years and this is the first program that I've stuck with without feeling deprived of my favorite foods. They make you dig down deep to figure out why you eat the way you, how you feel about it, and encourage you along the way. Coaches are there when you need them, encouraging you instead of bashing you. The program doesn't talk a lot about diets, but instead teaches the difference between making good choices and better choices, all without talking down to you. Before you know it, you're re-thinking that donut you were reaching for.
