Not a dollar or moment wasted!

By Sharon S., Penn Yan, NY, Verified Reviewer

I have stayed with Noom longer than any other program. Believe it or not, the articles are my favorite part. Reading them gives me new insights into my eating and past failures. Worth every penny!

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Great program, but for a cost

By Niana C., Raleigh, NC, Verified Reviewer

I have been using Noom for about 6 weeks now. I've definitely seen results in terms of weight loss, and have been impressed at the habits I've started to build. I know I'm still at the beginning of my journey, but the programs focus on making "sustainable" changes to your life is something I feel will actually make a difference for me in the long run. The program gives me language to identify common pitfalls in my decision-making, and gives me tools to overcome the things that usually trip me up. I love that it is more an education program than anything. I gave Noom 4 stars because of the cost. I would normally not have been able to afford the program if not for our insurance. If it were more affordable, I could definitely see it as something I would do long term. The benefits are definitely there, and I know my future self will thank me for taking the risk and trying it out.

Eh...

By Mariel N., North Carolina, Verified Reviewer

It has its good points but mostly it is not something that I think will really work for everyone like they claim. I have learned a lot about eating healthy and how to think about food differently, but I don't think it will ever actually help with weight loss.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Well worth it!

By Melissa V., Dover, OH, Verified Reviewer

I wasn’t really sure what to expect from Noom, but I can honestly say I love everything about it! I have read and researched so much about weight loss, and I’ve been waiting for Noom to present information contrary to what I have read and researched, but they have not! I trust this process, I love that it helps me to put into action everything I have learned. And, it only takes a few minutes of your time each day. It’s not labor intensive, it’s very supportive and rewarding and gives you real people to help hold you accountable and a group to connect with. I don’t feel alone at all in this process. So glad I joined. It’s so worth it!

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Experience in the first 30 days

By Laura B., Modesto, CA, Verified Reviewer

I decided on the spur of the moment New Year's Eve to join as I knew I needed a plan for 2019 to lose the weight I recently lost. My focus, my physical condition were both fragile and easily thrown off track. I was taking pain medication every day just to make it through and my exercise regime was out the window.

I had identified Weight Watchers as I have done the program before and got to Lifetime status. I just couldn't seem to get enough energy to attend meetings and have someone else weigh me.

When I saw commercials for Noom, I thought this seems similar and I can do it from my phone, sign me up.

I can say that reading the different learning material has been good quality and helpful. The only thing I do not like is all the abbreviations that are referenced later. I cannot remember the letters and had to go back to figure out what they meant which was frustrating. Some of it I already knew, but this provided more detail and practical steps.

The group texts are ok so far, I have been a light participator so far but plan to continue even though I have not felt any connection yet. I think it is hard to feel part of the group via chat than in person, at least for me.

The bottom line is in the 30 days, if have lost 12 lbs and have a stronger sense of purpose and goal with hope to take off the other 50. I do love that every day I have new material to read, and steps to take.

I plan to see this through the 8 months projected and hope to regain the confidence and success I once felt.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Noon builds habits

By Jen E., Naperville, IL, Verified Reviewer

I love the psychology aspect of Noom. I've done Weight Watchers and always gained it back due to poor eating habits. I feel like I am learning habits that help me not crave unhealthy foods. I haven't seen the scale move as quickly, but my tastes seem to be changing and I am eating less processed food (and enjoying it). I'm also learning the why behind my bad habits, which helps overcome them.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Great support and counsel

By Ferg D., Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Verified Reviewer

Noom is a great "app." It is like having a friend sitting alongside you as you tackle the challenge of fitness and weight loss. I have only been using the app for a month but I have realized some great results. Way to go Noom!

Noom works!

By Caron J., Maryland, Verified Reviewer

There are a lot of things I like about Noom.

1) The daily words of educational tidbits and support.

2) The food log is great and keeps me responsible for what I eat...it shows how quickly the "wrong" foods when eaten in excess, how they affect the body.

3) The link of physical activity...anything can help.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Outstanding product.

By Jeffrey C., Livermore, CA, Verified Reviewer

Outstanding product. Got me back to making better food choices and staying consistent. I’m actually having fun losing weight and seeing my younger physique come back. Prior to Noom, I was doing a Keto diet that had become very hard to maintain and very stressful. There were also too many food restrictions involved with that diet. Noom is not a restriction diet and I can feel safe eating "good" carbs.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Great program! Love learning and losing. I am getting some awesome tips to help me become and stay healthy. I especially enjoy the articles that are posted daily, the helpful hints from the staff, and the encouragement from other people like me who are also on the same path.

Stuck with a service I don't want

By Jillian B., Toronto, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I signed up for Noom's free trial, thinking that the approach might help me manage a special diet I'm on for managing multiple autoimmune diseases. Having a Goal Specialist seemed like a positive approach. Well, within a very short amount of time I realized that this is not the right app for me. It is focused on weight loss and Caloric Density and my diet regime is focused on Nutrient Density and healing (I need a different meal-logging app that tracks micronutrients etc.). I forgot to cancel with Noom before I left on a vacation and when I got home I realized that I'd been billed for two months' membership for a service I don't want. So, I'm stuck. I don't think a company with integrity would force a client who is clearly not an "ideal customer" to stick with a subscription that they're not using. I'm not at all impressed and very disappointed that I ever signed up for the free trial that turned out to be anything BUT free for me.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
