Worth it

I decided to try Noom because I was not reaching my weight loss goals. I was skeptical at first but have been using Noom for four weeks and I am making lasting change and losing weight. I don’t feel like I’m dieting. I am examining the reasons why I have struggled with weight loss and learning so much about myself. I’m no longer focused on losing weight. I’m focusing on getting healthy and creating good habits that will help me be happy in my skin.

From day one, Noom has kept me engaged and motivated. Silly daily pop quizzes and short lessons are incredible and educational.

The logging of food is super simple, and the group sessions let you get feedback from others on the program.

Five weeks and down 10 lbs.

Sensible lifestyle change, not a diet.

I started Noom right after Christmas when I received the diabetes diagnosis. Now that news has maybe motivated me more than if I hadn't been diagnosed, but Noom has explained on a daily basis, the pitfalls of trying to lose weight, and solutions to those roadblocks. I immediately started exercising, because for me, losing weight is impossible without it. I am finding it fairly easy so far, because nothing is off limits, and I am held accountable every day, by weighing in and tracking food and calories. Lean protein and vegetables are encouraged.

Their food tracking could be improved, it's not possible just to add calories. Probably because we also track types of food to ensure I am eating right. It does recognize many barcodes that you scan, and many foods are listed, so it's pretty good.

I like being part of a group too. We try to encourage each other and learn ways to stay on track. However, you don't have to be a daily part of the group, but it is helpful.

I have lost 10 pounds in 5 weeks, and feel this lifestyle change is something I can live with forever.

Pluses and minuses

Many good things about the program. Challenging for me to absorb all of the information each day, but is very sound scientifically. Takes more than 10 minutes a day to really work the program. Be prepared to get serious about "compliance."

Still learning

So far I am trying hard to keep up with all the information each day. With my brain full of work days and family sometimes it’s a bit overwhelming. I manage to get my meals logged and read all the info, but haven’t had a lot of time to interact with my group. My weight fluctuates, but I have lost a little.

A different perspective

It is a pleasure to engage with the Noom app daily. The information is shared in bite-size chunks and in a very friendly language and terminologies. It all makes sense and is very encouraging in turning behaviors around. It is not a quick weight loss program, but a life long attitude to gaining a healthy weight and keeping it.

Fantastic life changing health journey

I have tried many programs for weight loss and sustainable weight loss. This program is so multifaceted that one can hardly fail. Many points of accountability, including individual coach, group facilitated by coach, logging food intake with feedback regarding calorie budget for the day. Daily readings to enhance knowledge, motivation, overcoming common roadblocks to weight loss. Allows "treats" occasionally, even encourages treats (can be food but other treats are also suggested) so one does not feel deprived. I feel I will get successful on this program and will be able to keep the weight off. I am adopting healthful changes to my value system which will sustain weight loss and general health.

Amazing program

I'm one month in and 10 lbs down. I love this program. It doesn't make me feel guilty for slip-ups and has completely changed the way I think about food. I feel the best I have in a really long time and can't wait to see what the rest of the program has in store for me. My goal specialist and group are such a benefit.
