Very helpful

By Sabrina T., British Columbia, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I really like the approach and how it lays things out. Very helpful in providing insight into eating and food choices. It has a lot of different features that provide insight into lots of different areas that impact food choices. The explanations and tips are very helpful.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Great app, great program

By Tracy M., New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada, Verified Reviewer

Simple app that's very easy to use. You're well supported throughout your time using the app and the coaches approach helping you in the manner that you ask them to. It's really easy to enter your food logs using the built-in list of foods and calories and the articles are useful, inspiring, and pretty funny. If your phone is like mine, it doesn't do a very good job of counting your steps, but there is actually a spot you can go to enter your steps manually.

I highly recommend this program to anyone who wants to change not just their diet but also how they look at food and their relationship with it.

Great new way to consciously eat

By Belynda F., Western Australia, Verified Reviewer

I'm loving Noom, it not only makes me eat consciously, it also has been easy to do in a few minutes throughout the day items to read to help change your way of thinking about food. I have recommended Noom to family and friends to help them on their weight loss journey of becoming healthier for good.

I also found I was able to quit sugar in my tea as I've stopped eating processed foods. I'm not craving the sweetness anymore.

Not bad

By Miguel G., Bronx, NY, Verified Reviewer

At first, I was a little hesitant to join. After the 14-day trial, I was second guessing myself if I did the right move. I'm going on my 5th week and very happy. I have been in Weight Watchers, also have done the whole 30 a few times. Every day I learn something new. My only concern is my group because there are only ladies.

Good but could be GREAT

By Gina W., Verified Reviewer

First I want to say the mental and psychological help you give each day is wonderful. My problem with the app is more technical.

I wish you could put in full recipes either by hand or by putting in a website address. I also wish I could trace on more than on device like my computer, or a tablet. Also, there seems to be a known issue with the walking tracker with androids.

As I said in the title your app is food, but it could be great!

Good information

By Lee K., Minnesota, Verified Reviewer

I find the daily lessons/information very helpful. I love having one easy place to record weight and diary food. The personal coach is nice. Not as helpful as face to face conversations.

I do not feel like the community is very helpful for me. Too many people, I can't keep track or connect with anybody. Reading about others achievements doesn't do it for me. Not helpful.

However, I have been losing weight at a good rate, and that's the main task to achieve I healthier life.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Very satisfactory

By Paula G., Connecticut, Verified Reviewer

In the past, I have lost some weight with Weight Watchers, and I have lost all the weight I wished to lose with Greysheet, where there was a sponsor, and I had to plan meals for the next day, call my sponsor and tell her what I would eat. But the strictness of that program and the seeming arbitrariness of the foods not to be eaten made it impossible for me to continue with. But that program was the only one that worked, sue I think to the sponsorship and the planning.

I chose to start Noom because of the scientific background for the program and the one-on-one relationship with the goal specialist. And I have found it so far to be just what I wanted. There is something science-based every single day! And the logging of food and the weigh-in every day keeps me really engaged. I'm hopeful that this program will help me succeed over time better than even Greysheet did. It's helping me build habits, do things for a good reason. It allows me not to feel guilty about tasting what used to be "forbidden" foods. It gives me the support of the group and the group coach. It gives me new information about physiology and exercise that I didn't know (and I teach nursing). I will continue with the program for as long as it takes me to lose the weight I want to lose.

Great way to learn and lose...lose and learn...whatever!

By Kelly D., Nevada, Verified Reviewer

What a great way to lose weight, learn about the myths of weight loss, receive support from multiple coaches, be accountable...did I mention lose weight, find out that food isn't your enemy or carbs or drink gallons of odd juices. Yep, there are calories involved but helpful tools and knowledge every day to make this not a fad, but an actual life change. I started my journey prior to finding Noom and was able to lose weight, but then I struggled. My wife and I came across Noom and signed up. I have lost 16 pounds while working with Noom and have kept off a total of 24 pounds overall.

Totally happy with the whole process to date, I look forward to hitting my next goal with Noom!

Helps guide you to a better you

By Brenda F., Jeffersonville, IN, Verified Reviewer

Noom has helped me develop new habits and new ways to think about food. Noom gives you a sense of control over the choices you make and how you want your life to be. I would recommend to anyone needing help. Noom is a lifestyle, not a diet.

Real change

By Michelle V., Albany, NY, Verified Reviewer

A program that goes beyond cutting calories. Ten minutes a day helps you get behind your eating habits, educates on the why/what of consumption. Before you know it, your thinking and eating have changed for the better.

Pretty good

By Heather A., Dalton, GA, Verified Reviewer

I have been doing this program for five weeks, and so far, it's working well! There are areas to improve in, yes, but overall it's working pretty well.

The daily tasks are one of my favorite items. I'm not always in the mood for them, but I've found that they refresh my focus and motivation on a daily basis. They're quick, and get me thinking about my health. Also, I sometimes learn neat stuff while doing them! I'm a bit of a skeptic, so I actually fact-checked a couple of the informational tasks...and they were spot-on accurate.

It took me a few weeks to really get into the groove with my Goal Specialist. At first, I felt like she was just copying and pasting information into the chat. However, as we continued to talk, it's become more specific to me and I'm starting to really appreciate her.

I love the idea of the group, though it's a bit big and feels a little hard to build a community. It's starting to work, and I'm starting to build a little bit of rapport with a few members. The private messaging does need a lot of work, in terms of app mechanics.

I've done Weight Watchers before, and it has about the same ease of logging items that was in Weight Watchers. I like the breakdown analysis of green/yellow/red items (I found this system very confusing at the beginning, but now I have the hang of it and think that it is useful to think about how to lose weight and stay full).

I especially love the psychology aspect, where it breaks down habits. I have lost weight before - but it was because I replaced over-eating with over-exercising. Which was great - up until the point where I damaged my knees. Then I couldn't exercise, and since I never really fixed the underlying issues...I fell back into old habits and started gaining weight back. I have hope that looking at this will help me tackle the behaviors in general, without just replacing one bad behavior with another.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
