Pleasantly surprised

When I first started Noom I was skeptical. But having used the plan for over a month I am pleasantly surprised to find it so helpful, easy to use, informative and success building. I have lost 16 pounds in my first month of use and I am feeling healthier and have increased my exercise levels whilst learning to eat a healthy balanced diet and create habits that will maintain the weight loss and healthy eating for life. This is not a faddy diet, it's a lifestyle.

Average, lacks services for seriously obese people

I am pleased with many aspects of the Noom program. You get to choose your own pace of weight loss, it is very easy to use and has great tools and information. The platform is driven by overcoming and learning to change the way you view food, and your relationship to food and dieting and exercise, etc., but it is lacking to one demographic, or perhaps many. The severely obese, physically challenged and those on medications which may affect their rate of weight loss or how they lose weight. I have had to tweak the program to work in a way that will for me, which included reaching out for help with unrealistic exercise goals and unrealistic foods for myself because of allergies, digestion problems, etc. I do believe the program would be better if you could add circumstances that would affect the program, say like allergies, or dietary restrictions, or exercises unable to be done by some physically limited.

Nutrition, psychology, support!

Noom offers a mix of nutrition education, psychological information about overeating, group support and a system that allows me to easily log what I eat every day and compare that to targets set by the system. Noom is the most comprehensive, interactive weight loss program I've experienced. I have my own coach and support group and wonderful software that allows me to log my eating easily. Every day I complete readings that inform me and challenge me to take good care of myself. This is like Weight Watchers plus +++ and it costs less. I've lost almost 7 pounds in a little more than a month.

Makes me accountable!

I have had only positive experiences with Noom - it keeps me on track and accountable. I find I am constantly thinking mindfully about what I eat and how much I exercise. I feel so much better when I am doing the program. I tried to do it without Noom and didn't keep it up. The daily weigh-in, logging of food and exercise and the easy to read well-researched articles all combine to make the experience balanced.

I would like to see a more global context - it is American orientated and refers to American foods, stores, events (eg, Superbowl), and also combined with the time difference, it does make it difficult to follow sometimes. Also when logging food, a lot of American brands will pop up and I find I have to deconstruct my meal to log it accurately. The coach system is ok, but I do not find that to be of the most benefit to me. I do not get specific feedback on my food/exercise logs and then follow up suggestions from the coach - it is always very positive but necessarily what I would call coaching or helpful in pushing me to achieve better results. The coach will ask questions, which I get the whole thing of taking ownership, however, for it to be truly coaching, it needs to be more specific to my issues and my needs.

The perfect app for learning why you eat and how to eat better.

I have been doing the Noom challenge for 5 weeks now. It has been life-changing. It has really strengthened my self-confidence, self-control, and my view and outlook with food. I am confident I will reach my goal weight. I really enjoy the lessons taught in the short 15 to 20 minutes needed a day. It is really a game-changer in lifestyle changes.

Love it

I have been on other programs and have often disagreed with some of their reasons on why or why not I was losing weight. NOOM is scientific and backed by research from multiple universities and studies. Weight loss is s slow process and NOOM explains why. I am changing my view on food and how I approach it through what NOOM is teaching me. I even got my husband to believe. That is a miracle in itself. Thank you, NOOM.

Good review

Noom has been very informative. I know most of this information as I have been battling my weight for most of my life. However, the way it is presented is different to me and really does make me think about my actions before I act on them.

I like that I am not told "you can't have that" because that is not life-sustaining. I have to be able to live comfortably with my choices. I feel this is possible with this approach.

I also like the check-ins from the coaches. They are helpful without being invasive.

I discovered Zoom as I was browsing my Facebook feed. Took the survey and joined the two-week trial. I love this plan. I weigh myself every day, drink water and learn with the support of my coach and community. I feel healthy and not deprived. The app is easy and keeps me on track. Down 7 pounds, true weight! Totally recommend!

I am very happy with the whole Noom program and particularly the app. It is what I have been searching for for a long time. It is so easy and clarifying to log in all food and liquids at your fingertips. The coach Lauren I was assigned is marvelous! Everyday Noom provides new lessons as well as great psychological tips! Not to mention the great science and chemistry lessons as well. It’s actually fun!

I have become very honest and accountable to myself since I joined last month, and this program really gears you for success and achieving your goals by living your life the way you strive to. It’s about focusing on "your big picture" for life. In my case, at 59 years old, that means staying healthy to watch my two new grandbabies grow up. I want to be an active participant in their lives not an old fat guy with a bad back in a wheelchair!

Ten times better than Weight Watchers. I should know because I was a Weight Watcher member for eight years. Noom is way different with better tools. I am sticking with this program. I’m delighted to have lost 16 pounds my first 30 days! SALUTE!
