I tried Noom for the first time a couple of years ago. I signed up for the app a few months after I had my first child. I wanted to lose weight, but I was a new mom, I was exhausted, and honestly, I don't think I was mentally prepared or capable of putting in the energy to truly change my lifestyle.
I remember being annoyed because my goal specialist at the time kept telling me how important it was for me to get a good night's sleep. But I didn't have any control over the amount of sleep I was getting because I had a newborn that needed tending to. Now looking back on that experience, I could have still made huge leaps and bounds with Noom if I would have focused on the areas of my life I DID have control over instead of focusing in on the one area I didn't have control over.
Fast forward two years. I've had my 2nd child 6 months ago, I'm about to turn 30, I'm sick and tired of feeling gross, sluggish, embarrassed about my lifestyle. I'm starting to see how my habits are being passed down to my kids - and I'm ready (like actually read) to make a change.
I get an email from Noom offering me a discount for the New Year and I take the plunge. Not sure if Noom is drastically different this go around, or if I am. But I have been so pleased with my experience and my results and I'm excited to continue on this journey. I can see how my habits and lifestyle are changing, I'm starting to realize how crummy those unhealthy foods were make me feel (physically and mentally), I have loads more energy than I did previously, and I'm taking control of my life. I am SO HAPPY I am doing this now! Can't wait to turn 30 and be the healthiest happiest version of myself.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
