My periods have never been regular. I'll skip months and then when I finally do get it - I'm usually in a lot of pain for the first few days at least. The only thing that helped before was going through bottles of Midol, which would usually take hours to kick in at first. I did a lot of research on Livia before treating myself to the device over a year ago - and I'm so glad I did! The relief is practically instantaneous when you turn it on and I love that I can wear it anywhere. Livia reduces my period pain noticeably. I usually experience unbearable pain and if painkillers fail to work I have to go to the hospital (I have even been taken there with an ambulance).
