This service was helpful at first as I didn’t even know how to buy a house. After filling out some info I was immediately contacted by two different agents both claiming to be from HomeLight and worked for Ann Hoke Reality. It was confusing as I didn’t know who to go with so I went with the first agent at the beginning. She showed us two houses and then was done with us. Didn’t even call back untill a month later. The second agent made us sign a contract so we couldn’t get another one (agent) and this agent really only showed us houses that we looked up on Trulia and Zillow. She didn’t do any legwork but did do all necessary paperwork with bids and finally the contract, and closing.

All in, after going through this...the next house I buy, I’m going to do my own research and get a real estate agent of my choosing and one I can let go if I don’t feel they are doing their job. I would suggest this service if you’ve never bought a house and don’t know where to start, but it’s jaded me. I understand HomeLight can’t screen the agents, but they did a good job of putting them in touch with me. I got several calls from agents but only dealt with the first two. It would be a good idea to carefully pick the agent you like.

I don’t know if this helps anyone but it was my experience and I’m in my new home now that I found, myself, and asked her (the agent) to show it to us.

I just have to say how thankful I am to have found HomeLight on the internet. Usually, I go to friends or family for referrals. I am so glad I did not do that this time. Using HomeLight, I received an exceptional team of realtors with the Cave Team. They were very knowledgeable, professional, made my husband and myself feel like lifelong friends, and most importantly, they were aggressive. They did an open house the first weekend the house was listed, had a 3D portal online of our home, along with making phone calls for prospects. We received a contract within three days! I am so happy we chose to use HomeLight in finding us the best there is to offer in realtors. And the best part was that it was free!

I had an agent that had been highly recommended. The agent never put up a sign, although I had approved one, never held an open house, only did the listing online as advertised. I had seen an advertisement for HomeLight on TV and decided to give it a try. HomeLight's website was very easy to use and immediately gave me three recommendations. All three agents contracted me within an hour or so of using the website. I interviewed all three and chose Bobby Washington from Remax. During his three-month contract, a sign was installed in front of the house within a day, internet advertising, as well as mailers, were sent out. We had nearly weekly open houses that generated a lot of traffic through the house. We had two offers and finally went to contract and closing with the second one. Our agent was there whenever we needed him, not only for showings but he came to all the misc. inspections, etc.

I filled out a form for HomeLight and heard from three realtors within an hour. They all seemed great, but we picked Nancy because, although it sounds silly, I hate talking on the phone and she texted me instead of calling me. So we gave her a shot.

We met her at 9 am the following day and, through a crazy set of circumstances, put an offer on a home a mere five hours later. We are now the happy owners!

I imagine that realtors have to be true extroverts to be good at it, and Nancy is all that and more. She made us feel at ease from the moment she contacted us, to our first meeting, and everything that has followed. She never tried to convince us of something we might not like and was honest about the first house we toured being substandard (which we noted, but was nice to hear a professional say so).

The same day we first met her, there was a house she noted which fit our criteria but was reviewing offers within a matter of hours, so on a whim, we went to check it out. And when we LOVED it, she said "Let's get it!"

...and we did!

(That has to be a record, right?) She put together an offer super fast, and the sellers chose ours over at least one or two other bidders. I'm still stunned at how quick and easy Nancy made everything for us. She responds via email or text with a friendly and helpful reply almost immediately; any time we had questions, she replied asap. When the appraisal came in lower than what we bid, Nancy did the negotiating to get the price to the appraisal price, and it came off without a hitch.

As a first-time home buyer, I came into the process with the usual hope for a "unicorn" (a house that fit both our budget and our desire) and expecting to spend a grueling long few months feeling discouraged. Instead, Nancy made this so easy and quick that I think SHE must be the unicorn!

It was a little bit overwhelming and being military on a cross-country move was stressful enough, but HomeLight helped by taking some of that weight off our shoulders. HomeLight works with some of the best real estate agents in the country to make sure everyone finds the home that is right for them.

We had a great experience using the HomeLight website. I did a search for trying to find the best agents in my area. The HomeLight website popped up and was very easy to use.

Shortly after completing the form online, a representative from HomeLight called to verify exactly the type of property and service I was needing. By the end of the day, I had two agents contact me and after discussing my needs, I chose one of them.

He sold my property in less than a month. If anyone asks, I will recommend the HomeLight website when looking for great agents.

HomeLight provided me outstanding service. The website was easy to navigate and the individual I talked to was very helpful and provided me great information about the service. Once HomeLight provided me with three realtors, my wife and I set up meetings with each. I'm sure we would have been happy with any of the three, so it was a difficult decision, but we ultimately selected Will Gaskins due to his expertise with our particular area. Will and his team were outstanding throughout the process. HomeLight was a no stress way of getting in touch with high performing realtors and has my strongest recommendation for sellers to consider when they begin looking for a realtor.

When searching for a real estate agent to work with, you want to have good visibility into the agent’s track record, strengths, and references to have confidence and trust in the person, and HomeLight was able to provide exactly that for me. Upon submitting my criteria, HomeLight showed me a list of agents that fit my criteria and quickly followed up and matched me with the agent that I ended working with for my first home purchase experience. I really enjoyed working with my agent (Brett Jones).

My wife and I used HomeLight to help us narrow down the choices of top real estate agents in our area. All three of their recommendations quickly responded to us by phone and email. Over the next few weeks, we set up appointments. We interviewed each candidate and ultimately decided the Gayla Leathers and team was the right fit for us. The website only took a few minutes to use and the first person they matched me with was the agent I used. The process was smooth and seamless. I was actually out of town and was a few months away from selling, but Diane (my matched agent) and someone from HomeLight kept in touch the entire time to make sure everything was good. Diane worked around my schedule to ensure everything was perfect for the sale. She was a perfect match for me.

I'm a realtor, had a couple of listings, went to the HomeLight website and clicked on the link that said contact the listing agent for this property. In both cases, as the listing agent, I never received an email from HomeLight stating that I had an interested buyer, or a question from a potential buyer about the property. Also, in both cases, I did receive an email as the potential buyer that said "We have relayed your message and Paul should be reaching out to you soon. If the agent is unavailable, a HomeLight concierge will reach out to you". Which of course is untrue, as the listing agent, I was never contacted by HomeLight, but they did forward emails to the potential buyer stating that they did contact the listing agent, and the listing agent would get back to the potential buyer. I hope that makes sense. I guess my point is that HomeLight does not contact the listing agents, they forward these leads as they see fit. Peace.
