The first step in selling my home was to research all the resources I had available to me. I came across the HomeLight website and found lots of information about how to go about the dos and don'ts of selling my home and how to find the right real estate company.
I answered the questions on the website and immediately was referred to 3 different agents. Each of those agents called me within 48 hours and I made appointments with two of the 3 referrals. I also called around and set up appointments with a few other high-quality agents from companies I wanted to check into. After interviewing 5 different agents I made my choice of a pretty great agent whose company had the right mix of customer service and the assertive selling plan that I was looking for. They just happened to be one of the HomeLight referrals.
Next, I had a few months to prepare my home for sale. By the time I was ready to actually sign a contract, I had received several follow up calls from all the agents and especially from the 3rd agent referred by HomeLight. I decided to go ahead and talk to him, letting him know I had already made my choice of company.
When we finally met I was pretty impressed by Mr. Jesse Dill from The Property Group, he was friendly and informative and thoughtful. He didn’t make any wild promises, just straightforward talk about the different possibilities that might occur, both positive and not so positive, depending on the market and the things specific to my home. We had a good talk, not a sales pitch. We picked a starting point, I signed the contract, and the rest is history!
We sold our home 2 hours after the first open house! Jesse was right there with us the whole time even when he was on vacation! We had several issues come up during the escrow period but we were prepared as they were exactly the things that Jesse had talked with us about up front.
