I've been a Gwynnie Bee customer for at least 4 years now. Obviously there are some pros if I've been with them this long.
I love the fact that I can get clothes to wear them once or twice and send them back without having to commit to a purchase. I also really like that I'm between sizes, so it makes it easy to go up and down in sizes. They also have a wide variety of styles and sizes to pick from.
You are sent at least one postage paid return bag with your box of clothes, sometimes two depending on how many pieces you have. This is so convenient. You can just pop the bag into your mailbox or any mailbox for pickup.
Gwynnie Bee has a really easy to use Mobile App so you can add items to your closet, you can start the return process through the app and scan the return bag they send. This allows them to start your next order before they receive it.
So why am I only rating them a 3?
Well, here are the cons:
Sometimes the pieces of clothing arrive and they have been very worn. Kind of stretched out or there is a lot of pilling on the material. Sometimes there is an odor to them. I'm not sure if it's from the previous wearer or the cleaning agent. Maybe it's the material.
It seems here lately that it's taking a long time for me to get my clothes. From the time I scan my bag to the time I get my clothes has been on average 7 to 10 days lately. There have been other times I get my clothes in as little as 4 or 5. It's really disappointing when you wait 7 days or so to get your clothes and you have to send them back immediately because they either don't fit or you just don't like them.
Gwynnie Bee suggests you keep at least 25 to 30 items in your closet, I have at least 40 in mine at all times. The thing I'm noticing is that I'm only getting items I recently closeted, and things I closeted months ago are still just sitting there.
I keep my subscription going because I'm grandfathered into a price from years ago, so it's worth it to me as a working woman to always have a variety of things I can wear. I wear dresses now and I hardly ever wore them before because I never wanted to spend the money to wear something only once or twice.
I continue to recommend Gwynnie Bee to people who compliment me on my clothes and ask where I got them. It's not for everyone, but it's definitely worth a try. You are not going to love every piece you get. But it allows you to go outside your comfort zone. With the wide range of brands, not every size fits the same, but Gwynnie Bee has charts to help you decide what to pick. If they could nail down getting the clothes out quicker, and maybe step up quality control a bit more, I would rate a 5.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
