The tasting boxes, fantastic bottle selection, free shipping, and awesome customer service is unmatched in any of the other websites I have used. All shipments (except one) have been delivered on time and in excellent condition. The one shipment that went sideways was quickly sorted out by customer service, and a replacement was immediately sent. I think of all the reasons I use Flaviar I mentioned above, it's the excellent customer service that will keep me coming back to the site.

My first tasting was the whiskey order with included a Bourgon, Rye, Scotch, all of which were excellent quality and taste! I chose to share with a close friend and fellow Marine...our tastes differ when it comes to our drink selections.

I chose not to do a blind taste test and instead opted to taste from A-C and after tasting reviewed the flavor notes to compare with our own nuances. Neither of us are regular Scotch drinkers but were both surprised and delighted by the selection sent! The Bourbon was also great quality but nothing out of the ordinary from a quality bourbon that we frequently imbibe. Next was the Rye, this too was impressive and will surely lead to further tastings.

I prefer to drink my whiskey "neat" and savor the experience without being influenced by any mixes, and so this was ideal for me!

My next shipment was the rum varieties. Generally, I don't drink rum like I do whiskey (neat) and therefore made this somewhat unique. Again I chose to share with my best friend for the chance to share and compare what we experienced. We started with A and finished with C. This turned out to be a surprising event! All of the selections were outstanding and we both gravitated to the darker of the tastings. We chose to rate the Rums from 1-10 and the lowest was 7.5 (Grander) and 9.25 for the darkest (Dictador), which I'm certain will be purchased separately in the near future!

We tried it and loved it. I went from a trial run to joining the membership. So satisfying to see my husband and sons enjoying a drink together on the porch, talking about life and great whiskeys. Thank you for creating such a unique opportunity that I know we will love!

I love going onto the Flaviar site. It has everything from great bottles of alcohol from all over the world, to mini-classes about various types of alcohol, to the ease of ordering, to the great reviews by other users.

Being able to sample varieties of spirits without having to commit to a single high investment allows you to really work out what flavor profiles suit you. I don't care for peaty scotch, but I found that I like "some peat" and trying the varying distillers and sampling the differences between one distiller's 12-year-old as compared to other distillers in a different region.

At the end of the day, you have a reason to sit with a friend, sample something new and talk about it.

Flaviar provides a unique opportunity to sample a realm of spirit one would not normally consider due to the strata in which it resides. We would not consider purchasing a bottle of this quality just to try it out but, once having sampled the quality, we can easily see the value in the investment as well as the enjoyment in the experience.

I ordered a bottle of Redbreast Lustau Edition just because I got curious about this pot and what I read about other editions from Redbreast.

Ordering was easy as always at Flaviar.com, and I also got a free sample of Hennessy XO that was a great surprise! (You don't know what kind of sample you get, so I was a little scared I would get a cheap strange whiskey, but this compared to my ordered bottle quality.)

The rest of the family is at a neighbor's, so I can fully focus and enjoy these sweet golden drops without any disturbance!

Well, so far I'm really ecstatic about the entire experience.

The taster pack, while actually only three nips, which to a weathered connoisseur like myself fails to measures up. However, I was beyond satisfied with the ritual and presentation involved taking a mere daily function and elevating it to a reverend near-religious experience. My hat is off to them and their compatriots, the process with which they transform a potentially negative habit into a productive activity is simply sublime.

First, DO NOT pay for a year’s membership! After two months I wanted out, and they refused any refund the full year $210 membership!

Second, their discounts are minimal. Costco is much better!

Third, the charge for their samples is ridiculously expensive.

Fourth, their shipping is a hit and miss. Save your money and avoid Flaviar!
