I may be very lucky, but I ended up meeting and am now engaged to the first person that was recommended as a match on the site. On other sites and apps, both free and paid, I never even had a conversation with another person. On Elite I had several good interactions, but matches were mostly far away and that usually stopped the conversation for most people. I do live kind of in the middle of nowhere, so distance wasn't a huge issue for me. After a couple of months on the site, again I'm probably just lucky. I messaged the first person I had been matched with a second time because I was visiting the area she lived in. I sent her one the first day I was on the app, but she didn't respond. This time she did, we went out, and now we are engaged after a relatively short amount of time. I don't know if the matching algorithm really works, but seems to be good in this case.

I think Elite is no different than any other app or site. It's all luck. But for me, it was definitely worthwhile. Even if I hadn't met someone on the site, it was the only place where I met people who were even open to talking to me. Maybe it's the type of people that are on the site? Maybe the higher cost means only people who are serious about meeting someone are on it?

I would NOT recommend Elite Singles to anyone. They claim they are safe and secure, and they are not. I got presented with matches that did not align with the criteria I initially entered. They cropped my pictures, and I was not pleased at all with what they did to my pictures.

Elite Singles was not at all customer service friendly when trying to air my concerns.

I would never ever endorse Elite Singles to anyone.

This site apparently has a few members. You will not find anyone that lives near you or has similar interests or the age group you’re interested in. By chance, if you get a profile sent to you and you respond with a message or "smile," you won’t get a response. A total waste of time and effort. I wish I could give a no-star rating.

Like other dating sites, you will have to go through many (or some) crazy people until you find somebody (if ever).

I was lucky and I am happy.

I have been on the site for about 10 days. The communication back from the women on this site is essentially non-existent. The lack of returned messages suggests to me that many of the profiles are faked. I am not expecting all positive responses, but if this site were truly made up of intelligent and assertive women (the only kind I like), then they would have no trouble saying something as simple as: "no, I’m not interested". Instead one gets the feeling that the communication is with a stone wall. Lastly, I would rate it at 0 (zero) if the rating was available.

In my opinion, the site is illegitimate and to be avoided.

I signed up for the service at a $200 price tag assuming I was paying for a certain amount of months in advance. My "dating" status changed within a week and I canceled my profile and requested a refund, to find out that they only allow refunds for the first three days. NOWHERE during the sign-up process did I see that policy stated and given, I was signing up for a certain amount of months and I assumed I would get a refund for the remaining months. When/if my dating status changes, I will not use the Elite Singles site, that is for sure.

This dating site interested me because it is supposed to be for college graduates, mature individuals looking for love. It is not that at all. I am very disappointed in purchasing a 3 month premium membership. The matches provided are not college graduates and most come from the site Silversingles.com.

I never signed up for Silver Singles until I was told my profile appeared on the site. I went to the site to see my profile. To see it, I had to pay for a membership with them as well, just to see my profile. The matches on the Silver Singles site were exactly the same as Elite. How does this happen? The matches are far from being educated or a match for me.

I think both of these sites are a sham. I am going to seek a refund. If I do not get one, I will file an FTC consumer complaint.

I never saw the 3-day policy on refunds. I canceled my order and it was painful. I couldn't fathom dating someone living at the opposite coast of the USA.

When I dated a woman I thought I loved she turned out to be a wallet chaser. She was full of ultimatums despite her profile. I rejected women who were not as advertised. I rejected more who had certainly only wanted a sugar daddy.

I feel as though the payment amount and refund policy are there because this is a database set on garbage algorithms and fake information to make you think a lot of care and staff are dedicated to your search. Baloney. No wonder they stall your cancellation and refund expectations. I would rather go to a well-established site with excellent reviews like E-Harmony next time I try. They don't hide behind boilerplate systems.

One more thing. I am responsible and truthful. I don't appreciate "Elite's" business practices and policies. They deserve a minus 5-star rating. Save your hard earned money.

Bad site, never worked. I asked for a refund and they said no. This is a BS site, people don't chat, etc. Just keep the free apps, at least there's no drama of losing your money than you're time chatting!

Have you ever had your credit card charged for $130 with an automatic renewal and NOT be able to easily contact the vendor to cancel? Their website is full of "Help" messages and instructions to resolve the issue that you ask, but that's the extent of their site. It gives you "help" with no way of executing the instructions. I have worked with computers and user interfaces and this is the worst. Now I need to devote another few hours to try to break through the barrier and contact them. It is very frustrating!
