I have a 14-year-old female, long-haired, short-legged Jack Russell. She has cataracts and has been declared legally blind, which I agree is probably true. Her daily routine is, to wake up and scratch and lick, go out, continue to scratch and lick her private parts, have a pill, calm down and sleep until lunch. Go out, have a bit of lunch, scratch and chew a bit and go back to sleep. Wakes up for dinner, loves your food, goes out, starts scratching chewing an licking, has another pill, crashes until going out one last time and then going to bed. Some night she fine and some nights she scratches and chews herself to sleep. The pill she takes is Apoquel, I was hoping after switching her to your food I could ween her off of the Apoquel. The cost of her Apoquel and your food are roughly the same. Bella’s stool was firm before starting on Dr. Marty’s and after a month is still not as firm as it was prior to starting. Her coat looks thicker and better and the growths on her skin seem to be clearing up and going away. All in all, she does seem to be more calm and content, which I like. I’m going to give it a few more months, but the jury is still out on this one.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
