What's all the fuss about?

By Dave James , Buena Park, CA.

I picked up a Clear TV antenna at my local Walgreens drug store for $14.95. I've been using an RCA flat pack antenna for my computer, which would not pick up all local channels. I had to move the Clear TV to 3 different locations before finding the right spot (South facing wall) where it picks up 'every' local channel I receive on my 40 inch flat screen. Not sure why there is so many negative reviews here but I'm around 25 miles from Mt. Wilson in the Los Angeles area and for the pittance I paid I think I got a great antenna.

It's a sham

By Anna , des Moines Iowa

I bought this antenna hoping it would let me get my local channels. I wanted this because I currently have an analog TV but it doesn't work at all even when I move it around, I would get a signal and then lose it. So I wasted money on this Clear TV Antenna just because I believed the commercials they show about it and how good it is which were all lies. Thank you very much for ripping me off. This is a piece of junk.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

They never gave me my refund.

By Virginia Payne , Williamsburg, VA

I ordered the Clear TV at Christmas and when I found out it wouldn't work in my area, they told me that it should and that they would only give me a partial refund.

They never gave me my refund.

I think it's a scam!

By Jeannie Reo , Massapequa, NY

This is the biggest scam ever! All I got were three low-quality channels that were all scrambled and the sound didn't match the lips of the people as they were speaking.

Do not buy this piece of junk! Plus, I did not get the $62 back that it cost for shipping back and forth. There was no return label and I think that's ridiculous. I suggest that you do not buy this. I could not understand a word the guy was mumbling when I called customer service.

Incomplete order

By Jim Obe ,

I received my order but when I attempted the installation, there was no antenna with my order. The Clear TV reception package listed two items: the amplifier and extension cord. This package cost me $19.99. This is the only way that I can notify this company. I could not find a customer service website for Clear TV.

No Scam!

By Ruth Bowen , Jackson, Mississippi

Clear TV really works. Of course you should not expect to get all of the paid cable channels! However, you do get extra channels other than local ones. It is well worth the money. Pictures show clear. I have not purchased one yet, though. I was watching television with one of the teachers this morning. The school does not have cable, but because of Clear TV, his classes are able to watch the local channels and a few others! Other teachers have purchased them for use in their classes as well. I will definitely purchase one for me!

Tried and it's not true

By Kathleen Eddy, Arizona City, AZ, Verified Reviewer

I am probably one of the first 100 people to get this Clear TV converter box. It only cost me about $7.50 (I had that coupon, 1 per house hold). So I called my mom asked her to follow the procedure. We have 2 now (she has cable) while I have satellite where I live.

We live in a small city and there are no buildings around us. Our city is not even mentioned on the weather during the news or during a storm, and boy do we get them out here. So there is no interference with buildings ruining the outside antenna other than just the wind, so channels will go out. I have to go outside a adjust the antenna.

Before I purchased the Clear TV antenna, I called and asked them whether it work with the outside antenna with the converter box (we have a Sylvania 3 in one Television) but it is not have the digital tuner built in. The guy told me exactly what to do and I wrote everything down. He said yes it will work. Today I received the antenna in the mail. I called them and asked them how to install it and let him know about the fact that we have to rely on a converter box. He asked me how many channels do I currently get with the converted box. I told him about 22-35 channels, and that we don't watch all of them due to some of them being in Spanish.. So it will drop down to 20-29. So I hooked the new antenna up and did everything I was supposed to do and all I got was snow. Well the first thing he said was that it not hooked up right. Yes it is.

I told Adam (the agent) that I am going to re-hook the converter box the original way. Now the channels are back to where they were using the original converter box with this Clear TV Antenna. Long story short, I realized this antenna served no purpose for me and I wanted my money back. They are the ones that said it will work with the box. Now I believe it's a stupid little gadget. Oh, and yes, I even tried it in the bedroom.

I think it's fake.

By Jim Mastin , Rapid City, SD

I called them and sold me two Clear TV units and two longer hook up cables. It ended up costing me over $80.00 by the time we got done.

I hooked one antenna to my TV where I was already getting seven local channels with. Now after hooking their antenna up, I get only five channels. Well I called them and they told me tough luck and that no refunds are available.

They make it sound as if you get more than just local channels. Now I can't even get all of my local channels that I originally had. Beware, this is a total rip off.

Review of Clear TV Antenna

By Dina Q., San Antonio, TX, Verified Reviewer

If it sounds too good to be true, that's because it is! This product is a waste of money in my opinion. During the first couple of days this antenna will work fine. However, after that you won't even be able to pick up PBS channels, which is the only reason I bought this product in the first place! Save your money and put it toward a basic cable plan because this product sucks
