Overall, this app has been packed with value for me. I’ve been to group therapy and AA meetings before. It can be tense, uncomfortable, especially at first.
I was able to become comfortable with my therapist much quicker this way, since they are video chats from my own home. My comfort zone. I feel this helps me to let my guard down a little easier, so I can actually share enough of the truth so my therapist Hannah can actually give me the help I need.
It is also quite convenient, especially if I'm having a really hard day. Hannah has made herself available when I have been distressed, for an unscheduled video chat. I wouldn’t expect this, it depends on a person's situation, however, it’s much easier to have access to your therapist support this way than I would think is typical with an in-office arrangement.
My GF's car broke down and I was helping her but had a scheduled session. I wasn't going to make it back home in time but because I can use the app on my phone, I was able to still attend the session while sitting in my car.
I run my own company which can be pretty high stress and long hours, but with this app, it makes therapy so much more accessible. If I’m on a job site, I can still have many options to attend my therapy session without having to go too far away from where my work is.
Length of Use: 3–6 months
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
