I haven't had a therapist since I was a child and I was going through a lot that I felt that that therapist wasn't helping with and that she was really just in it to get money from my parents, who didn't listen to me about not wanting to continue talking to her. Because of my interactions with her and a lot of my childhood/parents, I've never tried to go and see another therapist because I've always had a bad taste in my mouth for them.
Thankfully, almost a decade later, I decided to finally give in and try BetterHelp, and I'm so glad that I did. It's much more affordable than I'd thought it would be, and my therapist is absolutely amazing. She has helped me be more aware of things that I think of throughout the week and has helped me learn more about myself in a way that I don't think I could have done on my own.
I would absolutely recommend it for anyone I know close to me, and I would recommend it for people like me who are in need of help, but deny it and put it off until they no longer can. Get BetterHelp and get better help, what's to lose?
